Each state has different requirements. In Virginia regulated courses can only be taught by the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) or DCJS certified training school. Becoming a DCJS training school is a stringent process requiring a high level of insurance, certified instructors, a certified training director, and other similar requirements.
