Respect. Integrity. Honor. These values are not simply just a tagline. At the Institute these are the values that guide everything we do. We apply them in the classroom, in the field, and in our lives.

 

Respect. We respect all of our students – in and out of the classroom. In the classroom we promote the value of our students respecting everyone they come into contact with, on the job and off.

Integrity. As security and investigative practitioners we continuously stake our reputation on our integrity. Our reports and findings must be accurate; we must be honest to our clients, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies. We emphasize this in the classroom where we provide professional training. We reinforce honesty as a core value with our students.

Honor. Honor is a manifestation of respect and integrity. It is something that we all possess. The degree of which it is held rests in the views of others as well as ourselves. At Watermark, maintaining our personal and professional honor is of great importance.  Honor is something best taught by example, which we will do as we emphasize our values at the Institute at all times.

 

 

The institute offers two types of training, regulated and unregulated, as well as a variety of executive level professional development course. Certified instructors who are also practitioners in their field teach each of our regulated courses. We are a licensed Department of Criminal Justice Services http://www.dcjs.virginia.gov training school. Our instructors are certified in the subjects they teach and continue to practice in their subject areas.
